Using a Right to Food Election Guide: A Closing the Hunger Gap BUILD Webinar
A strong democracy is an essential element to ensuring the right to food. This includes BUILDing relationships with elected officials and holding them accountable to their part in ensuring an equitable food system for everyone.
The National Right to Food Community of Practice has created an election guide to help community and local advocates talk to local and state candidates about how they will use their role in office to promote a food system that nourishes people and the planet. These guides are for anyone who believes food is a human right and wants to elect politicians in their local area who believe that as well.
Join Closing the Hunger Gap for a webinar with the National Right to Food Community to Practice and Northwest Harvest as they take us through the election guide and how we can adapt this guide for use in our communities.
