The Time is Now! Targeted Local Food Systems Investments and Infrastructure: Producing Measurable Impacts for Farmers and Communities (Repeat Session)
Monday, November 9, 2026
11am PST // 2pm EST
This presentation was previously held on October 8, 2026. Due to the level of interest and to better include our West Coast colleagues, we are repeating this session, with the same content and further discussion on November 9, 2026. We hope you'll join us!
Investments in local food purchasing infrastructure by the federal and state government have generated significant returns over the last five years, increasing capacity for local food purchasing and stimulating impacts for producers and consumers. These efforts have highlighted the continued need for targeted funding sources to ensure the resilience to shocks to the food system and support for the maintenance of the gains that were made during the last half decade.
This webinar hosted by Michigan State University Center for Regional Food Systems will highlight the implications of the following reports:
Michigan Local Food Purchase Assistance Program - Impact Info Sheets
10 Cents a Meal for Michigan Kids and Farms Evaluation Reports
Local Food Purchase Assistance Impact Report: A Preliminary Assessment of the LFPA Program
We encourage food systems leaders, policy and funding decision makers, state agency leaders, and anyone who is interested in building resilience in local food supply chains to attend this interactive 90-minute webinar!
This webinar was previously hosted on October 8, 2026. See the webinar recording here.
